I stumbled upon this site, http://www.myxer.com/ , which is really to create your own custom ringtone.
You can upload any mp3 song and straddle about 35 secs of the song and have it loop over and over. Of course it's purpose is create a ringtone
however this could be used as a free alternative to practice the oud to a small section of a song that you wish to practice.
Since i have a disfunctional laptop that i may eventually upgrade, I hesitate to purchase and install software like the amazing slower downer.
Does anyone know of free software that does what the amazing slower downer does?

Hi
I don't have slower downer but you could try Audacity. It is a great free software that you could do great deal with including cutting in repeating
part of a piece and changing the tempo.
