Hi,
I am an international student in Florida. In Turkey, I have an oud which I have been playing for some years now. Here in the US, I am planning to buy
an oud but I have a very limited budget. This is the one that fits my budget very well, but I am not very sure about it.

Does anyone have this kind of oud which are sold on ebay? Do you have any suggestions? Or is there anyone selling their oud for around 250$ ?

$250 is lottery territory, I'm afraid. I have never seen one of these, but I think this is one of the low end ouds distributed by MidEast
Manufacturing, and resold by all the on-line shops. Given the markups that are typical, this is probably at most a $75 oud in Istambul, and although
it's not impossible, you know what the odds of getting a good one at that price-point are. Can you drive over to this seller and try to pick one out?
More seriously, if you are from Turkey, I think shipping from Turkey is not terribly expensive. Can't you have your family send you your oud, or one
they can try out and buy for you ?

Welcome to the forum!
Depending on where in Fla. you are, Joe Zeytoonian might be able to help. Knowledgeable guy and easy to talk ouds with. I think he is located in
Broward Fla. His website is here:

Also, this lady in Sarasota is well connected and certainly easy to look at. She might ask you to join her group!

Thank you for the replies. I was thinking of the same thing, and I found one of these dealers in around clearwater, I will drive there in two weeks
and check the oud to decide to buy or not. From Turkey, the shipping times are quite long, and also there are many issues with customs and package
size and even safety of the oud during transport. I received some less fragile overseas cargo packages which were pretty roughed up.
I am in Gainesville, but I will try to contact the people you suggested for suggestions. I also heard that there are a few oud makers in Miami, but I
will look for closer options for now.
Thank you both for your suggestions.
