Hi there,
I'm thinking of starting a yahoo group/facebook group for UK oudists to post their contact details or area of the UK and get in touch with one
another.
I'm posting this here to see if anyone would be interested in joining and to check that there is actually a demand for it!
I think it could be a useful tool for posting audio, finding players near us or even to organise some kind of UK oud weekend.

Hi Jim, this could be a nice way for us UK oudists to get in contact. I'm based in Tring Herts. Meanwhile check out the mid-east music and dance

Saw this post yeasterday but was a bit busy to reply.
OK, UK oudists have been very active in the last 4 years, we've setup an annual oud gatherings with our last one in Skipton last year, we regularliry
meet and organize workshops "there is one due in 29th April in Oxfordshire, will be the second with Nizar Rouhana" and hopefuly two in June "still
undecided"
we also hold out practising sessions every Sunday in Manchester open to all oudists from 6:30 to 10:00pm.
We have two groups currently available on Facebook "ukoudbuddies" and MSN "ukoudbudies" I was in the process of setting up the Yahoo one a while ago
but got distracted by a flu fit 
All welcome to join our groups and I hope to hear form all UK odists, lets make it big guys

Where is the one in Oxfordshire on 29th April? I'd love to come to a practice session but Manchester is 200 miles from here. Still it's great that
