Hi guys,
I remember seeing a video on youtube of a oud maker (lebanese). He was singing 'beeny wa been el 2amar in his workshop with a someone else playing the
oud.
Not that I want ot buy a oud from him at the moment but I just can't find the video. Any pointers?

That doesn't ring a bell. There is a video of Fadi Matta showing his workshop and making of an oud. Then theres Nazih Ghadban reciting poetry and
playing a little himself. Then theres one of Marcel Khalife and at the end of the video Albert Mansour speaks about how when Marcel used his oud, many
people wanted to buy from him. Thats all I remember about Lebanese makers on youtube lol

Albert mansour!!!! That's the one!
Here is the video I was thinking of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9chc7KkVTs
THank you so much. Whilst we are on the topic what is the consensus of Albert mansour's ouds. He doesnt really get mentioned as much as Maurice
shehata, Nazih Ghadban and others.

I hear good things about him. A friend in Beirut recently visited him and was impressed with the quality of his instruments, and also impressed with
the character of the maker himself. I know Mustafa Said uses his ouds. I played two of them, but with old gut strings. I haven't tried any with a pair
or Labella or anything like that.
Wow, nice video, I haven't seen it before. Thanks for sharing.
