My new Sarikus oud arrived recently and it is a real Beaut!
The high end strings have a round sound, not tinny or thin in any way. The base strings are LOUD and filled with awesome tone. I have NEVER found an
oud before that has a sustain like Veysel's!
The oud is similar to the JT model. It is tuned C F AA dd gg cc ff. It is a bit smaller in the bowl so it is very easy to get your arm around it,
making it easy to play. A soft risha is all you need ot get massive sound outa this baby! 
Workmanship is outa this world. I mean, really folks, this is masterful stuff.
Recommendation: do yourself an oudi favour and get Veysel to make you one of his fabulous ouds. You will not be disappointed!
