Hey,
Does anyone know the most appropriate way to approach the triplet patterns in the refrain of Jamil Bashir's Caprice.
I tend to use down up down / down up down, however this pattern tends to be difficult when playing between different strings.
Many thanks

Hey,
I've just started learning this piece....
Yes. Down/up/down, Down/up/down.
It's tricky in the beginning, but very easy and natural after that.
That picking pattern assures the correct accents and promotes speed. I believe my teacher now....
Check this guy out - lefthanded on righthand oud, with gloves on.
Plays a mean Caprice!

Thanks. Ill pluck that way if thats the proper technique.
What on earth is that glove about though? Billie Jean meets the oud?

Hi all
maybe he just wearing gloves to minimalize the "finger.scratch.string-sound" when playing glissando?

The uploader's comment on the video says that he was wearing the glove because had recently cut his hand.
