A weird question perhaps but, can anyone hear what kind of tuning Rahim uses for this piece? I'm guessing it's standard Iraqi (F C D g c f) but I'd
like to be sure...

i do not know about the tuning but whenever i watch this video i feel like i am listening a cumbus player that i knew he was from urfa, Turkey he used
to play a tune like that all the time and i belive his father tought him that i do not know if it s just a coinsidence or this is a fanous song that
even cross to border and come to turkey or the other way around but at the end whatever cos i really like to rythm and the sound of this song.

catchy little tune, eh?

I dropped it 6 semitones and 7 cents to get it close to a comfortable playing key for standard Arabic tuning (CFADGC).

Which means he must be using standard Iraqi tuning? Or even higher than that?

You actually e-mailed him? Great stuff!
So can we conclude he tunes to standard iraqi tuning? FCDgcf?
