My Bashir Oud

Ok... I've been holding out on you.

Least you all think I've become a total Shehata enthusiast - I recently acquired a Bashir oud by Yaroub Mohammed Fadel.

My wife is now threatening to divorce me so I can't spend any more money on instruments for a while ( at least a year anyway ) I'm now poor but happy... Eventually, I'll have at least one of every major style oud. I'm not sure which style will fit me best yet.

Woah! I was reading the caption and something just made me shake my head and scream, "No! No!!!" SANDPAPER?!! WHAT WAS THE GUY THINKING?! I'm not into woods very much but even I have enough sense not to do that! Especially with a Fadel oud too!

Lee, your ouds are all beautiful and you play impressively! Also, love the fantasy picture!

Congratulations Lee, though I'm sorry you have some headaches with the oud just as you got it.

I'm just wondering, do you think your wife would let you buy just one more oud this year......for me?
