These are really nice looking ouds - they have a beatifully smooth line to them. Tell us how they sound if you get one.

Sure I will keep you inform.
But with time, I have heard the waiting time is quite long.
Also, his email is not working (delivery failured).
Does someone know another mail to contact him?

I've not been successful in emailing him in the past. A direct call to his shop is probably the best way to reach him. He's typically there from 10-7, Monday-Saturday.

Anyone know what the wait time is these days? Last time I talked with him it was 15 months... :(

15 months ???

A friend of mine ordered oud at Faruk and by the way visited Ramazan- and the waiting list was 10 min.- he got 1 of Ramazans as well with out any order- maybe it was a meter of luck- but from 15 months to 10 min. the gap is... well... i say u call him !

The waiting list is (was) more like 15 months if you want to have a custom-made oud. He sometimes has instruments he custom made that the customer didn't want... I would imagine your friend got one of those.

hi suzidil,
i spent some time with ramazan at his shop in kadikoy this past fall, he told me that the wait was about 1 year...his ouds are remarkable and he himself is a gracious and kind person who you will see at basically every turkish classical music concert in the city...good luck,
amos
