Hey,
I just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation of the Afif Taian CD. I just got it and have been listening to it a whole bunch. The playing is
fantastic...very soulful and full of feeling.

I'm glad you can now hear what the rest of us have heard. I'm glad you appreciate the playing. If you can make it down from NorCal to Los
Angeles sometime in early July, you can see him and the Kan Zaman Takht Ensemble performing live.

Oh, of course. As soon as I get the equipment to get these vids up, he'll be dishing out videos like crazy (I hope). I have quite a lot of
footage already. But let me tell you, the video can't capture the feeling of sitting in front of Afif and listening to him play live. It
can't let you request a song, and it definitely won't let him hear you when you chuckle in admiration when he does something totally
awesome... but it's as close as some of you unfortunately can get. I say... everyone come to L.A.!

LOL... but seriously man... I wish everyone here could hear Afif play live and be able to interact in the playing. After I stop the recording, his
house turns into a madhouse with me screaming about how great it was. I guess the CD's and the website will have to do for our long distance
friends in here.

How about getting Afif to come up to Northern California? There are great places to play and also great places for wonderful house concerts. Not too
far...nice weather...
