I am very proud to presente my new oud from the great person and oud maker Faruk Turunz.
Body, neck: East Indian Rosewood (dalbergia latifolia) and Yew Tree (taxus baccata)
Soundboard: Eastern Black Sea Spruce (Picea Orientalis)
Rosettes: white plexiglas
Fingerboard: highest grade ebony
bridge: dyed and varnished pear tree
pick guard: ornate by the inlay artist Salih Balakbabalar
pegs: highest grade rosewood french eye
String lenght: 58,5 cm

Alf mabrouk Eduardo. Like all of Faruk Türünz's ouds, this is an incredibly beautiful instrument. I am sure it will be with you all your life.
I was fortunate to spend time with master Faruk at his workshop recently and he told me about your oud.
I can inagine how excited you are to now have it in your hands.

Is this a JT signature series Turunz model oud?
The pickguard is the same as that model and it looks very similar...

Dear Jassim, my oud is arabic tunnig;
Dear James, this is not a JT, it's a Grand Concert with Fishman unnder saddle pickup, preamplifier, tunner and equalizer, plus the same pickguard made
by the inlay artist Salih Balakbabalar.
I'm a begginer in oud and qanoun (i usually play derbakke), but this weekend my band "Ensemble Tarab" will play at the Mar Gerges Ortodox Church, here
in Santiago of Chile, songs like Lamma Badda Iatathana, Longa Farahfaza, Nassam Aleyna el Hawa, Balash Tebousny, Aziza, Alf Lela wa Lela and others,
so I' will try to post some recordings. I will play the oud in a couple of songs and the qanoun in others.

If you can play all those songs on Oud/Qanun, you're not a beginner, you're very good!!
