Hello All
I started learning oud 2 months ago with no prior experience with any other musical instruments.
I am left-handed and following the advice I received from many I switched the string to a left-handed one. I feel more comfortable playing this way
specially after I removed the first peg nearest to the neck (Thanks to this forum!).
I was wondering though if any left-handed player plays the oud upside down instead of switching the strings. This enables one to pick any oud in the
future and play with it.
What are your thoughts?
Best regards
Jaafar

Hi Jaafar,
I recall John Merjanian telling me that Greg Vosbikian played this way, and he's a very fine player.

Hi all
Very nice clip!!
What would be the reason for playing with gloves? Is it to minimalize the finger-moovin`-sound or just to look gentle;-))
Anybody tried this??
Best regards,
Marcus

Reading the comments on the video, the same question was asked regarding the glove. The player had an accident that damaged his finger. The glove is
to prevent infection.
