Bracing - Influence to the sound?
Hello,
I've readed a few times that the bracing of an instrument is very important for the sound. Recently I saw a video of a luthier who built a baglama and
the soundboard of a baglama actually has no bracing.
How can this be possible?

The bracing of an oud is important for the sound.
For other instruments it all depends and may relate to sound board thickness as well as the kind of stringing - metal or gut.

many instruments don't have bracing... violins, archtop guitars, banjos... generally with a very very thin soundboard you need bracing - however
the Turkish tambur has a thin soundboard and also no bracing --- however the sound is quiet and lacks punch.
A baglama's soundboard is quite thick and the width from side to side is small - and also there is not so much string tension...
