I think that everyone has a personal preference, but it is a nice wood for ouds. For me I always prefer dark wood to light, for instance I would never
choose an Oud with full maple Bowl, but their is nothing wrong with the middle tones like Walnut. My Oud is rosewood with maple stripes this looks
great to me, a nice offset. Have a look at some Ouds on the Buy and sell section and get a picture of what you like.
