If you live in the Los Angeles area there is a concert coming up that will include some members of Kan Zaman to benefit the Tsunami disaster.

An evening of world music to benefit victims of the South Asian disaster
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to be a part of the global Tsunami relief effort featuring the diverse music of:
Karmaloka (a creative mix of Latin American & Spanish traditions from Bossa Nova to flamenco, classical & jazz)
Kan Zaman Takht Ensemble (Arabic classical & folkloric chamber music)
Paul Livingstone & Salaam Suite (creative world music songs, grooves & rhymes bridging Indian, Arabic, Reggae & Mexican traditions) with
special guests including:
Marta Gonzales (lead vocalist of Quetzal)
Damon Muldavin (drummer of Delta Nove)
Wael Kakish (Oud), Faisal Zedan (derbekki) & Jim Sullivan (Turkish Clarinet) / Kan Zaman
Patric Oliver (flamenco percussionist of And then Some & POPercussion)
Kmillion & Dr Oop (conscious Hip Hop beat box & rap artists of Black Love Radiators)
Also featuring Shiela Govindarajan, Becky Allen, Leon Garcia, Ralph Parra, Johanna Moore, Jim Sullivan & Donovan Lerman
All proceeds go to the Red Cross & Oxfam providing aid to South Asian Tsunami victims.
