Should I return this user Dagher Oud??
Pictures: Pictures: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0KyxVT71dJ5VUpHOXZUUWo1ZVk
I bought a used Baker Dagher oud yesterday and it has a few issues. They seller said I can return it within a few days if I chose to, but I'm not sure
how good or bad its situation is.
The tuning pegs are a mixture, most of them are a soft wood, so I might order a new set of pegs form ebay (does anybody have experience with the
Indian sellers?). It also has quite some wear, especially with the pegbox (which is my main worry) and the finish seems a bit heavy but I'm not sure
if that's a horrible or alright thing. So in short, do you think this oud will be solid with new pegs and stings or am I better off returning it and
looking for another?

Hello Knafeh!
Since it's mostly difficult to find an oud maker I'd rather consult a violin maker and ask him what has to be done on your oud. New pegs will be the
bst in my opinion. I would not buy from ebay because you can't tell the quality. My violin maker (Germany) would certainly have about 250 Euros for
his work. As to the rest - oud's quality, sound etc. you have to decide yourself. The pegbox might have had a hard hit or so, but a violin maker might
also judge if it's ok so far.
Greetings from Klaus in Germany!
