Nikriz Longa with "Solo" Synth from taqs.im
Nikriz Longa with Midi Keyborad
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HADKDAQX5Yw
I made this recording because I wanted to try out to a music software called "Solo" (World Lead Syntheziser) by http://www.taqs.im.
In this recording you will hear:
Oud
Saz
Acoustic bassguitar
Ney (Synth)
Cello (Synth)
Choir (Synth)
Darbuka and Riq (I recorded the seperated sounds like "Dum" and "Tek" etc. and then played them with the midi pads on my keyboard)
And sheet music for the Ney solo is available!
Just let me know.

I hope you like it.
Enjoy

Very creative, David!
Your Ney mix really goes well with the melody. Although it's clear that Ney sound is synthetic, but I couldn't tell that your Riq was made digitally.
Great videography too!
What was the learning curve for using SOLO? Did you need the MicroToner package as well? How does the software handle accidental changes mid melody
(e.g. from half flat to flat)?
Well done!

Hey coolsciguy,
I don't use the programm so much. Sometimes.
So, I needed only the SOLO programm. There is a virtual keyboard included, that does the same job as the mikrotoner I think.
If you want to want to play Bayati and shift to Kurd, you could simply use E half flat (White Key 50 ct down) and then play the Eb (Black key).
If you want shift the same Key 50 ct up or down, here are two options.
1. You use your mouse an click on the next scale preset, or just the note. Or use arrow keys to skip through the presets. (I didn't find a way to do
user presets here until now.)
2. I use Ableton Live.
There I set up to channels with SOLO, each one with the needed scale. Then I Midi map two buttons on the hardware keyboard to switch imediately. That
is a good way.
Cheers
David
