Hi everyone,
I wonder why is everybody running away from the GREAT Yemeni Oudist, Ahmed Fathy. He is the greatest oud player NOW. This Oudist
Amazing.... the thing is ......... i don't have taqaseem for him, but if you listened to him playing with the oud, you would say he is the best.

hi San3any, welcome to the forum.
i created a thread about Ahmed Fathi before. plz if u have taqaseem of ahmed fathi, post them here.
any way, from ur nickname, i assum u r from yemen. there are many great oud players there, but th one who i like the most is ahmed Qassim. he was a
GREAT oud player (Farido style). even Farid el atrach called him "Afreet el Oud" when he visted yemen in 1960's.

HI.............if we are going to talk about OUD players in YEMEN.........Most of them are excellent players.........Ahmed Qassim is Ahmed
Fathi's teacher............he passed away in a car accident 8 years ago..........he is awsome..........Faisal Alawy is a great oud player, but he
usually plays oud for singing not taqaseem........but he is a great player......... Ahmed Fathi on the other side has his own style. he played the OUD
in most of AboBaker Salem songs.......and played taqaseem....... if you wana listen to him playing oud......listen to abobakers
song.."'3adar al leel".....or"ghadar al leel"..........he played the taqaseem of the begining of the song..........we have
Foud Alkibsi who is an amazing Oud player.......he plays with Four Maqams in one song........but he is not that famous.......because Yemeni Oudist are
not well off, and not financially supported..........as soon as i get taqaseem for any of them.......i will post them here........

Hi San3any
What about Jamil Ghanim - you didn't mention him?
Best wishes
David
P.S. Is it possible to buy recordings of any of the players you listed?
