Do you mean that you are playing, fingering the high D string at the end of the fingerboard and are getting a buzz?

Hi Armen,
Does the fingerboard go all the way to the soundhole, or are you fingering on the face at this point ?
Even if the oud's new -- it still might have a problem in this area (especially if you don't have an extended fingerboard). Then there's always the
element of time -- with a new oud, it could take a few months for everything to pull into position.
Regards..Paul

If you're playing way up there at the end of the fingerboard a little buzz is not a bad thing. If it was down on the neck or lower down I would worry.
No one hates buzzing more than me but there are buzzes that nothing will fix except the player and the techniques he or she uses. I wouldn't worry.
Necati Celik's ouds buzz a lot everywhere because he plays really hard and doesn't mind a little buzzing. Unless the buzz makes the fillings in your
teeth rattle I wouldn't worry. Cool runnings. D.L.
