Regluing rosette...
I was vacuuming (using the shop-vac) the loose bits of debris rattling around in my nre (to me) oud, and bumped the rosette loose.
I am now interested in how to reglue the piece - my thought was to use string and rods on spacers to lift the shems into place while the glue dries.
Thoughts, opinions?

You got it right. That's how it's done. There should be a thread about it with pictures if you do a search.

popsicle sticks work great, and sprung clothes pins have wedges in the handles to lift the stick up.
