can any one help me?
Hi there, I want to buy an Oud I am a beginner (I play the guitar) I don't want something crapy maybe an instrument that can serve me for 2-3 years.
What is the minimum money I should spend on this? someone is offering this one for around 250$ what do you think experts?? it says Bavly Music (Mid
East) on the hard case. The seller (Ali) says it is Egyptian and hand made.
I appreciate your help

Looking to the place it takes into the "hard case", it seems to have a short string length, may be rather than a child oud.
I can't say nothing about the quality, but you 'll find here some guys to give you helpfull answers.

Hi Yaya!
Difficult to say who the maker is, but this looks like an OK Oud.
From what I can si on this picture I'ld say:
1- the pegbox looks fine.
2- the knot (sadle) fine.
3- Finger board playable, probably all the way to the rosette.
4- Short oud, maybe turkish length, or maybe even shorter (as Francis says).
But you play guitar, so you can tell if the sound is Ok.
If it is, and if the case is included in the price, then I'ld say go for it.
Good luck
