risha
Hi,
I had those risha 3 years ago from Syria.
They are made of plastic, and I really like their playability.
With the time my risha are getting used, and I'd like to replace them.
I would like know if a shop sells those risha on the internet ?
I had a look on "mid-east", it's been a long time that they are out of stock ...
best,
juju

I get mine from Oud Stings.com
They are not the same as the ones I got in Turkey but they are still very good.

Also you may want to consider 'upgrading' to a horn risha. I have been using one for a few months and I cannot go back to plastic now. I know a lot of
people here would recommend buying them from John Veraga here:

Thanks.
I used to play a lot with Pyramid Risha, they are very good, but I'm trying to change for softer risha (the softer risha from Pyramid is
unplayable...).
At present, I'm spending a lot of time working my right hand technique . I found that a very intersting work could be made with plastic risha to
explore the timbre of the oud.
Of course horn risha are also very interesting, and give a warm sound that many players like.

I have 5 rishas from John (He's a member of the forum)... They're a little pricy, but I highly recommend....

I was recently in a shop in santa monica that had a lot of stuff from mid-east.com. I picked up some cow horn risha and sanded/oiled them to my
preferred size. But i also bought some tiny plastic ones out of curiosity. Today after cleaning my closet I realized these are basically plastic
collar-stays! I recommend buying a few plastic collar stays or industrial cable ties and sanding them down.
