Brian this is amazing, I wish I wasn't so far away in Portland. Are you one of the organizers? Kudos for putting this together, festivals are A LOT of work.

Hi Eric!

Yes, it is a project that I started with Kane Mathis, and then we brought in Brooklyn Maqam (which I also co-founded, lol) to help produce it. Kane and I had put together a little one-night event for a few years. I proposed expanding it into its current form back in 2019 but we were derailed by the pandemic, so last year was the first year we did it and now we are in the second year. Hopefully it eventually turns into a sustainable thing — it would be amazing if it could eventually bring in artists from other countries. It is a LOT of work as you said, it's pretty much an all-volunteer effort at this point.
