My oud collection
I haven't posted here in a looooong time. Old age is catching up.
Over the years I collected many ouds. But unfortunately I can't play them any more.
It's time for other people to enjoy them.
I've put together a quick-and-dirty web page with most of them (I have more).
Check it out and let me know if you like any. I'm open.
Thanks

Spyro! What a blast from the past.. It's been too long. I see some familiar faces here. Ah.... To own a Nahat....a long time dream of mine. It would
be fun to catch up. That Ikhwan is such a beauty. Cheers. Let's talk.

Dear Spyro, this is a beautiful collection! May I connect with you privately? Im writing a book about Arabic ouds, it;s in the final stages, Im very
interested in a good quality image of the six-sided star rosette. I would give you credit of course.

Additional Material
I added some material to the posting about my collection.
Some sounds and some pictures, especially labels to help in the authentication.
Enjoy it.
Thanks for all the inquiries.

I'm posting again about my collection as there have been some developments.
1) Some of the ouds have found good homes, thank you.
2) I've had some heart issues and I haven't been very responsive, I'm also now more anxious about the future of the rest of them, as I cannot burden
my family with the task of disposing of them.
3) I've had A LOT of requests from KSA and other Middle Eastern countries, thank you very much, but I am very reluctant to ship such valuable and
irreplaceable items there, especially with today's situation, so please see if you can find somebody who could take physical possession of the
instruments for you, preferably in Northern California.
Again, I appreciate all the comments, requests, and offers.

These are truly amazing OUD's!
My favourite is the Ikhwan (Brothers) Nahat 1910.
Sorry to hear of some health issues you are facing!
Cheers,
Matt
