OUD IRs for IR pedals
Recently I bought a Boss IR 200 amp sim and IR loading pedal - it is great for guitar, and I have been experimenting with it into an electrig guitar
amp for live oud sounds from an oud with a Piezo pickup.
I did a brief experiment with acoustic guitar IRs to see if it makes the oud sound better.
Before I go to the trouble of making some oud-specific IRs from my oud and pick up as described in this video, I thought I would ask hear to see if
anyone has made any and if they prefer that to EQ etc for playing live when pick ups are more practical than mics

I've been using the Audio Sprockets tone dexter, and it's a mixed bag but overall I like it (previously I refused to use a pick up at all).
A few friends are using the TC Electronics IR Loader with IRs they made themselves, to good effect.
Basically, I'd say it's worth trying, especially if you are comfortable making your own IRs.
Personally I chose the Tone Dexter becuase it automates the IR process and has some additional features (mic blend, etc.) that I thought justified the
extra cost.
