Ud Method, Serif Muhiddin Targan
Merhaba all,
does anybody own Serif Muhiddins Ud Method?
is it in english?
does it have some sheet music in it,how many pages is the whole book?
it sound excelent!!

Method
I have "Ud Methodu" by Serif Muhiddin Targan.
It is in Turkish, but it's 175 pages of sheet music exercises, etc.
Following some sheets there are usually a few lines of explanation, which if you really want to understand, you can probably use a Turkish dictionary
(this is not heavy litterarure).
So overall it's excellent

hi
I was wondering, what is the tunning he uses. I have a 5 course lute and i was browsing through the book and I could see that he has quite a few high
notes. (I dont speak a word of turkish)

It's more of a set of technique exercises - it does give some good fingering pointers for fast melodic runs. It's not a complete "method," though.
He's tuned Turkish - high d. However, he routinely plays at the octave of each string.
