Another Label

Somebody sent me pictures of an oud with the following label.
I am assuming that this is a Sumpat derBedrossian, although I am not sure why the last name is spelled that way on the label (Bedroin?). Maybe it is just an abbreviation.
Or, is this oud by somebody else? He said that the writing in Arabic spells out Sumpat der Tardessian. Any thoughts? It was made in the 1940s, so that would go along with derBedrossian.
Finally, does anybody know if there is a relationship between Sumpat and Garabed derBedrossian?
Thanks again.

I can read sumpat on the right in the first picture. I read bedrosin at the bottom. Maybe this helps you a bit.

I read the Sumpat in arabic.

What you were reading as Bedroin.... I can read it as bedrosin ( Bedrsin) do you notice the tall S that is in black on top and white on the bottom?
The arabic on the left is blocked by the rosette I cant figure it out.

I dont know what the word on top of his head meens tho.

The word above his head looks like Dimashq (Damascus).

Jonathan, if you can you get a picture that includes the name in Arabic that would help establish what the last name is. The first name is definitely Sumpat. Did Sumpat der Bedrossian at any time work in Damascus, though?

Jonathan,

The Arabic to the left looks to me like it could very well spell Bedroson.

If the label does read Bedrosin on the label that would mean to me, belonging to Bedros. In Armenian, for example, if something were to belong to me, it would be Andyin or for Jonathan, Jonathanin. Ice ouda Bedrosin eh = this oud belongs to Bedros. Well that is what I think if the label reads Bedrosin. It could apply to Bedros' shop too.

The word in arabic just above the Sempat in regular letters looks like it finishes with the word SIAN. I see what could be a R right before that. like RSIAN? But I cant figure out the first two letters. Could verry well be BedRSIAN but I cant tell for shure.

Jonathan, That looks like der Betrossian, although I can see how it could be read as der Tardessian.

Thanks. It looks like a Sumpat derBedrossian, although it is odd that this label is pre-printed, and the one on Matthias Wagners site that we had a thread on earlier is handwritten.

I appreciate everybody's help.
Not my oud, unfortunately.
