what is this thing?
Salamat all- I came across this thing called a 'recital box'.
Has anyone ever tried one of these gizmos out or knows anything about them?

it seems to me like it does more or less the same thing as one of those fisher price microphones were you can talk in them and they just echo..
after listening to the sound samples... thats about what they do.

The oud sample sounds terrible with or without it and btw attached to the string holder on a floating bridge oud......

yeah Ive seen those before- all they do is louden the instrument they are attached to, but they do distort the natural tone of the instrument... they
are for small concert halls with no amplification- Ive seen a flamenco guitarist use one... not something anyone really needs, a mic sounds better
anyway.
