Neck reset on Sukar


Any body has an idea about how to perform a neck reset on a Sukar oud.

I remember Jameel did this to his orignal Sukar oud back in the day.

what are the things I need to concider?

Samir, what do u mean by neck reset? is it to change the inclination angle of neck? If so, then, according to my knowledge (cos I don't know if he still uses the same technique now) you have to introduce your hand in the rosette and towards the neck, there is a metallic piece, called in french "papillon", like a screw with wings, you have to turn it in the direction you need. The disadvantage of the procedure is that sometimes you have to lower the string tension so u can do easily the manoeuvre. If I am wrong, pls someone correct me. Regards
