strings gauges advice/tuning in Fa
Hello
I am looking for a string set to tune an arabic floating bridge like follow:
bass F C (or sometimes A) D G C F.
I prefer to use a G wounded. The diapason is 58,5 cm.
For this instrument, I seek for a very bright sound.
Any advice on already made string set, or shall I command a special set, like in pyramid strings set?
About the tension, I think around 4 kg, but I don't really know.
I need a high tension but not too much, after it becomes to difficult to play.

Hello,
A good set is the set that Naseer Shamma ( SET OUD P10 ) uses. But it is at the upper level of tension. A second possibility is a Aquila string set (
AQOA T13 ) which has less tension. I used both, the SET OUD P10 for my Shamma Oud model and I have some clients which are using this set, and the set
AQOA T13 I have put on my Munir Bashir model.
