On Ebay an arabian (or Turkish?) guy living in Germany sells selfmade Nays. Maybe contact him by mail for further details ... in the auction he tells
of an oriental E tuning ... maybe he can build your desired tuning too.
I found a further dealer in Germany, but their Nays are of plastic

Thanks Chris...
In BOLAHANK -which is the most common tuning in Turkey- hicaz, ussak, and bayati etc use E as a tonic
In KIZ tuning, which is 2nd most common tuning in Turkey... maybe almost most common these days, that E tonic will be B.
Does anyone know if it is easy for a silver flute player to shift over to ney? Any suggestions?

Silver flute = transverse flute?
I think the Nay blowing technique is quite different.
BTW ... the Ebay seller above has a german website too and he also sells a german ebook about learning Nay.
Because he has a UK email address, I would drop him a mail and ask if this book is available in English too.
And he mentiones the following Nays on his site:
1. Rast (C)
2. Doka (C)
3. Bussilik (E)
4. Djaharka (F)
5. Nawa (G)
6. Husseini (A)
7. Adjam (Bb)
So I would expect he builds all modells.
