movable bridge..
hey guys i need your help on dis one,...i ve got a oud that is has a floating bridge.. i jus wanna know is the bridge movable or is it fix bridge?
wat s the difference between d both of em...

The difference is that the floating bridge is not glued to the face, and it presses directly down on the face. The glued bridge twists the face under
string pressure. The floating bridge must be located so that the strings intonate properly. To locate the bridge, the harmonic and the fingered notes
must match pitch. It is easiest to do this at the neck/body joint. To play a harmonic, touch the string lightly at the neck/body joint as you pluck
it. Then press the string down on the fingerboard at the same position and pluck it again. The pitch of these positions should match. If not, slide
the bridge slightly toward the neck to raise the pitch of the fingered note, away to lower it.
