Joseph Tawadros on the web !
Hey all,
Just for your information, ABC(Australian Broadcasting association) broadcast a concert with Joseph Tawadros and the virtuoso guitarist Slava
Grigoryan. I thought you might be interested. To listen to this you can go to:
http://www.abc.net.au/rn/music/liveos/
Then click on "listen" under Slava Grigoryan and Joseph Tawadros October 1.
Joseph is playing on 2 pieces, the first one at the start of the program – a more traditional sounding Taksim and then "Blackbird" by the
Beatles (at the 34th minute), he ends up going into Sonny Rollins' St Thomas in the end solo - not so traditional but very jazzy! Joseph never
ceases to amaze!
Oh and that Grigoryan guy isn't too shabby either

TEMPO!!
My god, How do Joseph and his tambourine player play at completely different tempos without being influenced by one another. That is just amazing. I
am a percussionist of 8 years and still can't understand how they keep time so well.

Awesome!!!!!!!
I have never heard oud playing like that, boldly experimental, traditional fused with jazz and some interesting sounds.
Love it!!!!!!!! Thanks Lee for bringing this to our attention.
