Who is Muja'iss? I thought the most famous lute maker in Lebanon was Nazih Ghadban. The price sounds really good. Also, is oak a good wood
for ouds?

I agree. Oak is better for furniture, and also, a face made of walnut is, in my humble opinion, inferior to one made of excellent spruce or european
straight-grain pine.

The soundboard is not made of walnut!
I don't know where the seller got that from....but some makers in Egypt use it and I belive some others too.
I think Nahat used oak on some of their ouds.
