I want to learn some Om Kalthoum Songs!!
Long time no see for those of you who remember me I hope you all are doing well
and are in the best shape!
I am writing this message because I can't find any condensed versions! All the songs I find are the hour long ones. I am aiming at learning as much
as possible in the shortest time.
Does anybody know how I can find the condensed version?

There aren't really 'condensed versions" of many of them.
There is a record by Mahmoud Fadl called "umm Kalthoum 7000) that has shorter versions of many famous songs.

Great.
Actually your reply is very helpful because if u think about it, I can find the "condensed" version if I look by Om Kalthoum's song by other singers.
I will look for the guy's! Wish me luck.

Hi Chris,
From my experience, the best way is to listen to those songs by the composer singing the song on oud. I particularly like those by AbdulWahab when he
sings the songs he composed for Um Kalthum. It is definitely more condensed and he gives the songs some different/magic spirit.
Here is Hazihi Lailati:

You can find many of those on Youtube like : Laiat Hubb, Aghadan Alkak etc
Or even better, you can listen to Sunbati singing his songs of Um Kulthum. Sunbati takes playing oud very seriously, not neglecting any notes which
makes it a great learning experience. You can smiply hear it from the mouth of the horse. Here are some examples:

Hope this helps.

This is another great idea. I will look at the links now. Om Kalthoum songs are a great asset for anyone wanting to learn the oud properly.

You are welcome!
I find Sunbati's singing on oud to be the most useful due to the fact that he takes playing so seriously, down to the note!! Abdel Wahab comes next
in that sense.
I love Baligh Hamdi's songs, but when he sings them on oud, his playing is very casual..... you can't learn anything from it. Same thing for Muji. I
am yet to hear Kamal Taweel sing on oud.
Zakaria Ahmed's singing on oud is only helpful in some of the songs like this one where you hear (detailed) playing:

What I like about it is that he focuses on showing the character of the Makam (Saba in this song).
I'm happy this was helpful to you.
Good luck.
