words of wisdom from the pros
I am working on a project that is proving very enlightening and I want everyone to have an opportunity to check it out as soon as it is ready.
I have been getting in touch with a whole bunch of top notch Oud players/musicians and asking them some basic questions about learning the Oud/playing
Middle Eastern music. I will compiling their quotes and including them in an article that I will be posting on my OudforGuitarists.com website. So far
the answers I have been getting are very beautiful and the kindness of each one of these people is becoming very apparent.
The article will be published sometime in December. You can sign up to be the first to read the article here!

The quotes I have for you are raw and unedited, which I feel really gives some personality to the players.

Najib asked me to post the following response from him:
Quote: Originally posted by Najib_Shahen | Good work brother, but labeling us & me in particular as great , I don't deserve that because I know I am not. Next step is to reach out to
American oudist to give their insights, actually I was more impressed by the insights of my American colleagues than my Middle Eastern brothers, less
ego & more sincerity . I do know many non easterners oudist if you need to reach to them. |
