Another Interview about the Oud Online
Hey Everybody,
Check out this link of an interview (with some fantastic playing) on Australia's ABC Radio Show called, "The Music Show". Go to where
it says, 21st August, 2004 and click on the First Hour. You all know who this guy is too. Is this young fellow
impressive or what?
Take care,
Mike

Hey guys,
Yeah, Joe is fantastic, isn't he? You know - and Mav can also attest to this - the cool thing about Joe is he is very down to earth. He's
surrounded himself with some good people, and he isn't arrogant or pompous at all. He's going to go very far, considering how great a player
he is at such a young age.
Zulio...you think Joe's accent is cool. I lived in Melbourne for about 6 years when I was a kid. When my family moved back to the States back in
'79, I had an even worse accent than that!
Be good guys,
Mike

Wow, I can't believe this guy is only two years older than me. He performs as if he has decades of experience. I've watched his video on
this page and was absolutely amazed at some of his techniques. They are very unique.
When he first plays with his brother on the tambourine, is that improv or something off of the cd? If it is improv, it's really good becuase they
did a great job of holding the tempo together even though it was bumpy at times and some of the rhythms didn't lock.
Last question, does he ever perform in the U.S? I would love to know of an upcoming concert so I can catch a flight and go see him live.
