Consideration for string tension: volume and neck equilibrating

Hello,

I'm using light tension Aquila for arabic tuning for a 58.5cm oud.
I love the sound of this low tension (I guess around 3.5 kilos)resulting on a shorter stringlength, but not fully satisfied of the bass I found a bit low regarding my usual strings (Kurschner).

I think to change the 6th for an higher tension one, like 4 kilos, but what about the first course and the neck torsion?
I mean I know some player use unequal tension depending on courses, but 2 questions:

*Will it make problem with time on the equilibre of the neck using only a high tension on the 6th, keeping the low tension on the 1st course, knowing it is a double string?
I mean can we add string tension like we would do for kilos of tomatoes? 2 strings of 3.5 kilos = 7 kilos on the first course?

*What about sound? I feel an higher volume on higher tension strings, but in term of volume, does the first course act like a 3.5 kilos tension string, or like a whole of 7 kilos?

Thank you for your help.
Signed: a really non physicist oudist.
