Armenian Oud Master Richard Hagopian oud recital

two days ago that my shop, Richard Hagopian and his son visited.
Hagopian really a great master.I was very happy to know him. We have a very nice conversation in my shop.oud played beautiful works with us.We talk
with him about the antique instruments.very good information I learned from he.I would like to share with you some of the works he played with the

I've always loved Richard's playing, 'old' style and fiery and very oudi. Nice to see more film of him - there are not many out there.

For me, and for so many others, Hagopian is simply the master. It was through his music that I first learned Armenian and Turkish music, and was
first introduced to the oud. I am so grateful that I have had so many opportunities to see him live. Yet, every time I hear something new from him,
I walk away stunned at his mastery.

Richard Hagopian is indeed a master oud player- what's more amazing is that he came from a school of oud playing where you didn't use your second
(middle) finger unless you really needed to. If you look at the clips Veysel posted above, you can see that he rarely uses his second finger. Most of
us would be happy to play half as good as him with ALL our fingers! 
Thanks for posting these clips Veysel, it's nice to see all the good players who pass through your shop.
