Sukar Electric Oud

Does anyone know who makes the pickup used in Sukar's electric ouds?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Brian,

It's been a few years since I worked on one of these and my memory of the preamp is fuzzy - safe to say though it was nothing I recognized from any of the major manufacturers and I've used quite a few from B-Band, Fishman, Artec, Baggs, etc.

The piezos themselves were memorable. They appeared to be chips of piezo broken off of a common piezo buzzer - as if one took some pliers and just snapped pieces off - one chip for each string pair. Didn't sound any worse than a low-end Asian preamp - same quacky sound.
