Hello everyone I am a new member to the forum. I have been playing oud for almost a year and hope to improve my skills. I am an Armenian-American male
in my 20s in the US (Detroit, Michigan). I am originally a clarinet player but probably my biggest talent is singing. My biggest influence is
definitely Richard Hagopian, but I listen to all the Armenian artists from present day all the way back to the 1920s, that is, in traditional and
classical music. Like most Armenians I play a Turkish oud. So far I am self taught. There are about 5 or 6 active Armenian oud players in my area so
eventually I want to take lessons. Thats about it, just wanted to introduce myself.

Dear Harry,
Welcome to the forums and for your self-introduction that gives all members a picture of you and your beginning journey with oud.
Thanks also for your excellent first post in regard to the Udi Hrant lyrics.
Warm regards,
Greg
