Precise, tasteful, refined, beautiful. Mr. Tayyar's love of the beauty of wood is quite evident in these ouds. What would man do without wood?
And there are those who say there is no God! What then is the purpose of so many different kinds of beautiful woods? Mr Tayyar's work stands out
among oud makers. Does he have a website?

I agree Jameel, beautiful work and amazing artistry with the different types and grains.
Thanks for sharing. Does Mr. Tayyar make traditional Arabic ouds as well?
Take care,

Hello Jameel
I was taken by those words you wrote about wood. They have got me to meditate in a few biblical events;
God created the wood.
* Noah's ark was made of wood .. Noah and his family were SAVED from the flood.
* Moses splited the Red sea with his wooden staff .. Moses and his people were SAVED from the hands of the Pharouh.
* Jesus SAVED us all on the cross which was also made of wood.
I'd like to repeat your question. What would man do without wood?
Regards to Mr. Tayyar and to Chris for sharing these pic with us.

So, speaking of wood, what do you guys think that incredible wood is in the fifth picture, with that beautiful banded pattern? And what is he making
the fingerboard from in the seventh shot?

Hello,
Hallilujiah Emad,
Ok, now to my very limited info on Mr. Tayyar,
He lives in Montreal. He is from Iraqi origins, and his phone number is (450)641-8540. One of the ouds above, the one with the complete face, as
opposed to the one with the small artistic dent in it, was sold on ebay for 800 dollars 2-3 months ago.
His email is, saadaltayyar@hotmail.com

Wow, that was really cool oud, strange that I've missed that topic...
I am extra glad to see their work getting exposed here.
I must mension with pride that their elder sister and her husband was one of my parents dearest friends before they moved to Canada.
Regards
/Walid
