following on from the french polish thread, i'd like to know if tru-oil contains something beneficial which other oils do not. i suppose i could
order a container of the stuff from the states but importing it into italy would be playing customs duties roulette ... sometimes it really hurts.
there's a huntin'/fishin' type place up in the village that stocks an oil used for the maintenance of gun stocks (plus other uses) but i don't know if
it's similar to tru-oil.
a year or so ago i put an undiluted coat of acrylic vinyl based varnish on the bowl of my egyptian oud and while it feels just fabulous to the touch,
i've been wondering if i might have deadened its sound somewhat ...
