Ahmad el-Bidaoui

Hey everyone. About a year ago, Mike posted a taqsim that this guy had in a song called Kol Limen Sadda Wakana. The taqsim was great, and I went searching for more of his songs, but I only found the same 5 or 6 on every site, all linking to the same source. For example, here's one of the sites...

Click here for one of the lists

Does anyone have songs other than these that they can share with us? I remember Sidi Mohammed had a lot of knowledge about him, but since the year has past, the information has been lost somewhere in cyberspace. Hopefully Sidi Mohammed or one of you that's reading this can give us more info or more clips (especially of him playing his oud... or better yet, another taqsim! I know that song Intedar on the list has an intro taqsim that's pretty cool... any others?)

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Hey Zul. I think it's in Jiharkah. I could be wrong. I'm still training myself to hear the song and just come up with the maqam. What I hear is... F G A Bb C D E(half-flat) F.

I could be wrong. There's some ajam in there, and some rast, as you said.

Any ideas?

P.S. I could be wrong...

I wonder what happened to Sidi... he had so much info to contribute. So no one else has a clip of el-Bidaoui playing? It's unfortunate that we only have one or two clips of such a great player.

Hey guys,

Now that Sidi is back, maybe he can tell us more about el-Bidaoui and maybe have some of his clips?

Thanks in advance!
