Some interesting pics there, especially the oud with the wood/skin soundboard and the barbat with the monster machine-headed pegbox that looks like it
escaped from the set of a horror film!.
Also the Sassanian ouds/barbats (or whatever they were called) - surprisingly modern looking instruments for so early in the day.
